How to use it
content is exposed by the MCP Workspace MCP server. Add the server to your MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf and others), and the content tool becomes available to the model automatically. See the full listing for setup details and every tool this server provides.

Adds content to existing files
Deletes a directory (empty, or a whole tree with recursive)
Removes files from the filesystem
(string): Path to the directory to delete (relative to project)
(boolean, optional): Preview changes without applying (default: False)
Makes selective edits using exact string matching
(array): List of edit operations, each containing:
(integer, optional): Last line to return (1-based, inclusive). Must be provided together with startline.
(string): Path to the file to read (relative to project directory)

(integer, optional): First line to return (1-based, inclusive). Must be provided together with endline.
(boolean, optional): Prefix each line with its line number. Defaults to True when a line range is specified, False for full reads.
