MCPVault

About

The independent vault for the MCP ecosystem

The Model Context Protocol became the standard way to connect AI applications to the outside world: databases, APIs, file systems, browsers, everything. Thousands of MCP servers now exist, with more appearing every day.

Finding one that is maintained, documented and actually works is still harder than it should be. Most lists are unfiltered data dumps. Some directories sell placement without disclosing it. None of them tell you whether a server will still be maintained in six months.

MCPVault exists to fix that. We index the public MCP ecosystem automatically, grade every server from A to F on objective signals, and give creators a way to claim their listing, correct it and prove it works through live verification.

Principles

Independent by design

We are not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or the Linux Foundation. No vendor pays for a better grade. Rankings and grades are earned on merit, never bought.

Quality over volume

Anyone can scrape a list of repositories. We grade every server on maintenance cadence, documentation, license clarity and code signals, and we verify that claimed servers actually respond.

Built for the people shipping

Creators can claim their auto-indexed listing in minutes, correct the record and control how their work is presented. The directory improves as its subjects take ownership of it.

MCPVault is built and operated independently from Stockholm, Sweden. Questions, corrections or ideas are always welcome.
