Awesome MCP servers, with the maintenance data attached
The awesome MCP servers lists on GitHub are a good starting point, and we mean that: community curation built this ecosystem. But a markdown list cannot tell you if a server still works. MCPVault indexes 5,036 MCP servers nightly and attaches the data a static list cannot: quality grades, maintenance signals, verification status and client compatibility.
Beyond the markdown list
Every entry carries a grade
Curated markdown lists tell you a server exists. They cannot tell you whether it is maintained. Every listing in the vault carries a public A to F grade computed from maintenance recency, adoption, license clarity and documentation, recomputed as we re-index.
The full grading rubricThe list updates itself nightly
Static lists depend on pull requests, so they drift out of date the moment a maintainer moves on. The vault re-indexes the public MCP ecosystem every night: new servers appear, archived ones drop to F, star counts and activity stay current.

Some servers in the vault are verified: we spawned them and completed a real MCP handshake before granting the badge. No curated list runs the servers it recommends. We do.
How verification worksFilter by what matters to you
Category, quality grade, verification status, client compatibility. An awesome list is one long page; the vault is a queryable index. Finding a well-maintained database server that works with Cursor takes one filter, not a page search.
