Terms of Service

Last updated: August 14, 2026

1. The service

MCPVault (mcpvault.io) is a directory of Model Context Protocol servers. Listings are compiled automatically from public sources and enriched by creators who claim them. By using the site you accept these terms.

2. Directory content

Listings describe third-party software we do not control. Grades, badges and verification results are informational signals, not guarantees. Installing and running any MCP server is at your own risk: review the code and its permissions before connecting it to anything that matters.

We may add, correct, regrade or remove listings at any time to keep the directory accurate and useful.

3. Accounts and claims

You may claim a listing only for a server you genuinely own or maintain, and you must complete ownership verification honestly. Claimed content you provide (descriptions, tags, compatibility information) must be accurate and must not mislead users about what the software does.

We may revoke claims, remove content or terminate accounts that abuse the service, misrepresent ownership or attempt to game grades or placement.

4. Acceptable use

Do not scrape the site at abusive rates, attempt to bypass rate limits or security measures, submit malware or spam listings, or use the directory to distribute software designed to harm users. Reasonable automated access to public pages is fine.

5. Paid services

Paid options such as the verified badge, featured placement and sponsorship are described at the point of purchase. Payment never affects grades or organic ranking. Paid placement is always labelled. Fees are non-refundable once the service has been delivered, except where consumer law says otherwise.

6. Intellectual property

Repository names, logos and code belong to their respective owners. The compilation, grading system, verification results and original content of MCPVault belong to us. You may link to and quote listings freely with attribution.

7. Liability

The service is provided as is, without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage arising from use of the site or of any third-party software listed on it. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

8. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by Swedish law. We may update them from time to time; the date below reflects the current version, and continued use after changes means acceptance. Questions: hello@mcpvault.io.
