How to use it
onboard is exposed by the Hippocampus MCP server. Add the server to your MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf and others), and the onboard tool becomes available to the model automatically. See the full listing for setup details and every tool this server provides.

"Did anything change?" — pass an entity name + cached hash, get back yes/no. No embedding computation, pure metadata.
Find clusters of similar/duplicate memories, detect near-duplicate entities, surface contradictions, or run sleep mode for batch lifecycle analysis (compress/prune/refresh)
Get everything about a topic — observations, relationships, related entities. Includes versionhash.
