memory_read

MCP tool from MCP Agent Memory by tverney

Read the agent memory index (MEMORY.md) and optionally specific topic files. Call with no arguments to load only the lightweight index (cheap). Pass topics only when you need the full content of a specific topic file.

How to use it

Project documentation lists memory_read for the MCP Agent Memory MCP server. Add the server to your MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf and others), then check which tools your installed version makes available.
