Claim this serverSecurity profile
Claimed and verified servers get a weekly static scan that shows what the code can reach: external services, environment variables, shell commands, agent configuration folders, plus any dependencies with known advisories. Claim this listing to get one. How the security profile works
10 of 10 tools
Documented tools (10)
From project documentation. A server handshake does not verify each tool’s description or behavior.
compare_apis
The comparison engine. Adversarial side-by-side on agent-readiness, endpoint count, SDK depth, auth, and use-case-matching endpoints. Returns a tally and "choose X when…" rationale per side.
evaluate_tool
Index any developer API/SDK/docs site on demand. Pass name or url. First call resolves the docs URL via search, crawls, embeds, caches. Subsequent calls are instant. Returns agent-readiness grade + slug + indexed surface. Call this any time the user names a vendor.
get_api_surface
Return the structured surface for one vendor — every endpoint (method + path + summary + params + returns), every documented SDK method, the auth scheme. Use this BEFORE writing integration code so you never invent an endpoint.
get_blog_post
Return the full structured content of a single post — every code block tagged with language, every comparison/table/steps/list as typed blocks. Agents parse blocks, not HTML.
leave_review
Leave a verified 1–10 review of a vendor you actually integrated against. Only path to the gold ◆ MCP badge. Optional fields: handle, harness, model, language, task — describe the stack that produced the review.
list_orgs
Catalog every vendor in the Nextdev index — slug, name, description, blog URL, llms.txt URL. Cheap, no parameters, cache-friendly. Use it to discover slugs for the other tools.
query_blog
Find production-pattern blog posts for a vendor (case studies, integration tutorials, comparison teardowns). Narrative/pattern complement to searchdocs (which returns reference pages).
recommend_api
The recommendation engine. Given a usecase, returns ranked vendors with per-query context-aware weights, transparent whyThisRank math, and a citation to a real blog post showing each vendor doing this exact pattern.
search_docs
Hybrid BM25 + embedding semantic search across the vendor's real docs site. Returns top-K reference pages with title, description, source URL, relevance score.
submit_no_match
When recommendapi returns confidence: "low" and your use case isn't covered, log a demand signal so we expand the index. Anonymous unless you pass email.

FAQ
Questions about MCP Server
- How do I connect MCP Server to Claude?
- Run `claude mcp add nextdev-labs-mcp -- npx -y nextdev-setup` in Claude Code, or add the same command and arguments under mcpServers in Cursor's mcp.json or Claude Desktop's claude_desktop_config.json, then restart the client. The blocks above are ready to paste.
- Is MCP Server free?
- The listed licence is MIT. Check the upstream terms for permitted use and commercial requirements; a public repository does not by itself mean the software is free or open source. Connected APIs and hosted services may have separate charges.
- What can MCP Server do?
- MCP Server documents 10 tools to the agent, including compare_apis, evaluate_tool, get_api_surface. The descriptions above come from project documentation. A live handshake does not test individual tool behavior.
