standard
basic + historicalweather, airquality, and saved-location tools
How to use it
standard is exposed by the Weather MCP MCP server. Add the server to your MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf and others), and the standard tool becomes available to the model automatically. See the full listing for setup details and every tool this server provides.

Precipitation radar (static or 2-hour animated loops) + GOES satellite imagery; composite: true returns a finished radar map over a base map as an image
One-call overview combining current conditions, forecast, and alerts (optionally air quality and lightning)
US: named incidents with containment, size, and safety guidance from the nearest uncontained fire. Elsewhere: NASA FIRMS satellite heat detections (VIIRS, near real-time), clustered with distance, bearing, and intensity
