How to use it

Project documentation lists add_project for the OmniFocus MCP MCP server. Add the server to your MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf and others), then check which tools your installed version makes available. add_omnifocus_task

Create a new task.

Create multiple tasks and projects in one operation. Each item accepts the same fields as addomnifocustask / addproject, plus type (task or project) and optional hierarchy helpers:
